Delays and more...plus Lightbomb

Ok so the news is that Forward Motion will hit the internets audio pool very soon, and it will be Tuesday 9-11 pm on NSR FM. They're just fixing the streamer at the moment, so hopefully next Tuesday will see the return of Forward Motion....don't worry we won't be focusing entirely on dubstep, it's not all I listen to and as I don't mix I figure two hours of a mixture of related music, going down the electronic, beat-based leftfield club music direction...will describe it fairly broadly and totally unaccurately. Needless to say the playlists say it all, just means I'll have to find some new tunes out there that have the same effect on me as Para One's Beat Down, which is on the Dudes EP on Shadetek records and also on the Beat Down EP on Institubes.
In the meantime get yourself down to the Chillingham Arms on Chillingham Road in Heaton, to see Lightbomb/ Syphus, Fresh Jon, Firebrand and Outgroup (formerly Hadoken) should be well worth checking out. I know from past experiences that both Lightbomb and Outgroup are well worth checking out, and all I've heard is good things about Fresh Jon and Firebrand. I sadly won't be there due to a party that has been arranged for sometime, but less of that, get yourself down there and check it out.

Heavyweight Bass Pressure

So the countdown to the relaunch of NSR begins, I haven't had my show time officially confirmed but unless I hear any differently I'll assume my show is on Tuesday 9-11pm which trust me I'm happy as fat Larry about.
Got to say big up to the Heavyweight guys who will be on NSR as well, really looking forward to hearing the show, especially after a sick night was had by all on Thursday night at world headquarters. Great sets by all, I especially felt Elgato's set of rather fine garage made me smile from ear to ear, and skank in a rather mad way. So much so that by the time that Dynamix was on the decks my skanking had gone into a lactic acid controlled quarter step, or maybe the vodka and lack of sleep was to blame, and maybe some over enthuisatic bouncing to Gareth Hocking's set too. Also it was beautiful to see that blokes were outnumbered by lasses, who were skanking and shaking like there was no tomorrow, I certainly wished there wasn't a tomorrow but that was just the thought of work at 8:30. Next time I'll take my camera so you can have some physical evidence of the night.
The rumour mill is in full effect and all I can promise is that there are plenty more larger than life nights lined up in the coming months, and well even those who venture out only at weekends can attend too.

Dubstep Toon Takeover

So dubstep seems to be laying some roots in Newcastle, which can only be a good thing, I'm a little bored of breaks and drum'n'bass, let alone breakcore which although I do like the stuff I can't seem to stand a night of it.
So what are these nights I speak of, first off is Heavyweight which happens this Thursday at World Headquarters, and the guys Aems and Dynamix can then be heard on NSRFM on the 18th of this month.
Then we have a new venue for some dubstep shenigans in Stereo on the 9th November with DJ's Elgato, Gareth Hocking, Dynamix, Hado, and Nirz

Also on the NSRFM front Forward Motion looks to be back, more on this very soon.
