Sonar and Sodden Saturdays to Come

So Sonar! Summer, Sun, Spain and Sonics...just what you need!!! Highlights had to be DJ /Rupture at L'Audotori, Subtle, Chemical Brothers (got me reminicising of the days when I was 16), Diplo, Jamie Liddell...to name but a few. I did, I have to admit, miss M.I.A though the compensation was seeing Luke Vibert. Sonar also sparked my interest in Soul Jazz records, the sort of record label where if you owned the whole back catalogue you'd be drowning in good good stuff...like a toddler swimming in butterscotch angel delight.
So back to England, where the monsoons have begun, well it's glastonbury weekend isn't it. Though India is seemingly lacking the annual monsoon weather on another tip. My audio therapy for the evenings, after selling diamonds and pearls to the annoying and tiresome, currently consists of Odd Nosdam - Burner, not feeling it as much as I used to feel the anticon stuff, Enduser - Comparing Paths...which is just basically the breakcore album I'd recommend to the non breakcore fan, lots of energy...yet seemingly on a leash of sorts. Bring on the Vex'd album.

Term is over and a summer of silence looms?

Well that's it for Distorted Vision, term is over as far as the majority of students are concerned and so as far as NSR is concerned. However keep on checking for a few things are in the pipeline, me and certain others are looking to convert my bedroom into some sort of distorted vision webstream station for the summer, that won't happen till after the 20th when I return from Barcelona and more importantly Sonar.
In the meantime get yourself to your local record store and buy Virus Syndicate's "The Work Related Illness" and Four Tet's "Everything Estatic" you won't be let down, or go out and check out Radio Clit
